  1. Any student getting a minimum 50% marks in class 10 + 2 belonging tothe general category is eligible to apply to almost all the institutions. 
  2. For reserved category students, the threshold of 50% is generally lower and is around 40 to 45 percent. 
  3. Students having studied mathematics or computer science are generally given preference in some institutions.
