  2. After that, centralised counselling takes place by the joint seat allocation authority operating under the Ministry of Education
  3. Students have to follow the following process- 
  • The candidate has to register themselves online. 
  • Candidates will be required to fill out choices of institutions in order of their preferences.
  • 4 to 6 rounds of allocation of seats will take place, where students can accept their allocated seats.
  • Once a student accepts the seat, they will be required to report to the allotted institution and pay the course fee to confirm their admission. 

Fees 

  • The average range of fees in a government college for automobile engineering is around Rs INR 50000 to 1.5 lakhs. However, in private colleges, the average fees are around 2.5 lakhs, and in some of the top IITs and NITs, fees are around 2 lakhs to 3 lakhs.

Eligibility Criteria

A student needs to possess the following minimum requirements-

  1. Class 10 + 2. 
  2. Having studied physics, chemistry, and mathematics.
  3. Minimum marks obtained are generally around 50%.
  4. Qualifying entrance exam, like the Joint Entrance Exam Mains or advanced as applicable.
